Refund and Cancellation Policy
Edut 710 for the Events of October 2023 (R.A.)
Address: 8 Yitzhak Sadeh St., Tel Aviv, Israel

1. Definitions

  • “The Association” – Edut 710 for the Events of October 2023 (R.A.)

  • “The Donation” – A sum of money or equivalent value transferred to the Association voluntarily, without receiving any direct service or product in return.

  • “The Donor” – An individual or legal entity making a donation to the Association.

  • “Day” – A calendar day; “Business Day” – A regular working day in Israel, excluding Saturdays, holidays, or other official rest days.

2. Purpose of the Policy

  • This policy defines the Association’s approach to donation cancellations, refunds, and reimbursements, as well as the rights and responsibilities of both the Association and its donors.

  • The policy complies with the relevant laws and regulations applicable in the State of Israel.

  • 3. Principle – Donations Are Non-Refundable

  • The Association receives donations only and does not provide any service or product in return.

  • All donations are used solely for the purposes of the Association as stated in its bylaws and for the continuation of its public mission.

4. Cancellations and Refund Requests

  • Since donations are voluntary and made without consideration, the Association is not legally obligated to issue refunds in most cases.

  • However, if a donation was made due to an error (for example, an incorrect amount or duplicate transaction), the donor may contact the Association to request clarification or a refund.

  • Refund requests must be submitted by email to accounts@edut710.org within 14 days of the donation date, including the following details:
    - Donation date
    - Amount
    - Payment method

  • The Association will review each request and, if justified, issue a credit or refund as appropriate.

5. Credit Card and Payment Processor Refunds

  • If the donation was made by credit card or another online payment method, the Association will coordinate the refund with the relevant payment provider or bank, according to their availability and procedures.

  • Refunds will generally be made to the same payment method used for the original donation (credit card, transfer, etc.).

  • Please note that the actual refund processing time may vary depending on the credit card company and/or bank.

6. Special Cases

  • If the donation was made as part of a commitment or agreement with the Association (e.g., a conditional or designated donation), the terms of cancellation or modification will be handled separately and according to the applicable agreement.

  • If a donation was designated for a specific purpose and the Association is unable to fulfill that purpose, the Association will contact the donor and arrange next steps—either reallocating the donation to a related purpose or voluntarily refunding it.

7. Donation Receipts

  • The Association issues a receipt in the donor’s name for every donation, in accordance with Israeli law.

  • If the Association is recognized under Section 46 of the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance, the donor may be eligible for a tax credit.

  • Receipts include:

    - The Association’s name, registration number (if applicable), and address
    - The donor’s name
    - The donation amount
    - The payment date and method

8. Policy Updates

  • The Association reserves the right to update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time.

  • Changes will take effect upon publication on the Association’s website or through other appropriate means.

  • Each donor is bound by the policy in effect at the time of their donation.

10. Additional Provisions

  • The provisions of the Israeli Amutot Law, 1980, and any other applicable Israeli legislation governing nonprofit organizations, shall also apply to matters not explicitly covered in this policy.

  • As donations are made voluntarily and without consideration, the rules and procedures under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law regarding products or services do not apply.
