Nicole Zedeck
Nicole Zedeck is an i24News reporter in Israel, who lives in Tel Aviv and was on standby for work on Saturday. Her team began reporting on where a rocket had fallen in Yavne and after going into a shelter with a family there, continued south, trying to get as close as they could to where terrorists had infiltrated, although they did not really know what was going on. Neither did their management. They stopped when they realized to go any further south would be too dangerous, and reported from Barzilai Hospital instead, where they saw thousands severely wounded. On October 8th they went to Sderot and spent the next week reporting from the south southern as rockets were exploding and gunshot fights with terrorists were continuing; Nicole realized for the first time in her life she had become a war correspondent.
