The Full Testimony
Testimony of
Ariel Maximiliano Frenkel
On Saturday morning, Ariel Frankel and his wife, Paula, went for a combined training of riding and running, in preparation for the Aeroman competition. Contrary to the usual training, this time each of the cycling group rode separately. A few minutes after Ariel started riding, rockets were fired. From that moment he went through a journey that included hiding in a shelter in Kibbutz Sa'ad with frightened party goers who escaped from the Nova festival; rescued by the coach of the riding team; staying at an ambulance collection point, where cars with wounded and dead arrived, and near which a shootout with terrorists took place; and after long hours a meeting with his wife in the shelter of the Tara factory in Netivot. Throughout that time, their youngest son was alone in the safe room and they had difficulty contacting him. It was only on Sunday morning that Ariel and Paula managed to return to their storey.
