Testimony of

Dany Zernitsky

Dany, a film student and a security guard at Sapir College, was in the shared apartment where he lived in Kibbutz Gevim that Saturday morning. For many hours, he remained in the secure room, listening to bursts of gunfire, trying to comprehend what was happening at the kibbutz. After several hours, he provided refuge to two fellow security guards who were at Sapir College at the time. In the evening, he accompanied them, armed with his gun, to their apartment. Gradually, the magnitude of the disaster began to become apparent, and Danny realized that people close to him were dead or missing. Through the information that flowed, they discovered that the standby squad pushed back the terrorists, but after a day, there were still terrorists and missiles in the area. As the hours continued to pass without any official notification from the authorities, Danny and his friends decided to evacuate independently in their private vehicle, with Danny sitting in the front with his weapon drawn.
