Testimony of
Eitan Sabag
On Saturday morning, Eitan and his family are awakened by the sounds of firing from the 'Iron Dome' battery near their home in Kibbutz Alumim. He joins the standby class at the armory. It is there he realizes that this is a large-scale attack. Later on, the class splits into squads that deal with house intrusion incidents, evacuating residents to shelters and receiving treatment, and eliminating terrorist squads. Eitan arrives home in the evening and waits until dawn for the evacuation of the families. After evacuating his family, Eitan returned to the kibbutz and participated in military activities in the following days, where he realized the magnitude of the disaster.
