Testimony of

Marlene Moszkowicz

Marlene Moszkowicz and her husband came to Zikim from France in the 1970s. On Saturday morning, they woke up to rocket barrages and interceptors over the kibbutz houses. Despite the situation, they remained calm and did not immediately seek refuge in the safe room. As the hours passed, they learned that the standby unit was engaged in combat with terrorists attempting to infiltrate by sea and succeeded in eliminating part of the terrorist group. Due to uncertainty about the elimination of the remaining terrorists, the residents remained confined to their homes until daylight. A few days later, there was another infiltration attempt. Upon hearing news of the abducted individuals, Marlene, who had lost her brother in the Entebbe operation, they relived the horror once again.
