The Full Testimony
Testimony of
Paola Judith Frenkel
On Saturday morning, Paola and her husband went cycling to train for a triathlon. They split into groups and rode in different directions. A few minutes later, the sirens began. Paola's group rode quickly to the nearest shelter. The bombing did not stop. Her husband, who was hiding in another shelter, called to warn her about the terrorists. Paola and her group locked the safe room door and kept absolutely silent. When Paola understood that terrorists were trying to infiltrate their kibbutz, she called her young son, who was home alone. The team's coach rescued them from the shelter, and they went to the shelter at the Tara plant in Netivot. After a few hours, the coach rescued her husband and other trainees. All of Paola's family members were saved.
