The Full Testimony
Testimony of
Vered Shelhav
Vered Shelhav and her young son were in the safe room with her mother during the terrorist attack on Nahal Oz. They were exposed to the gunfire and distressing events at the kibbutz through the kibbutz and family media. Vered heard but also blocked out the thoughts to face reality. In the safe room, she felt that her life was secure. In contrast, she found the evacuation process cumbersome and felt a lack of personal security. Vered felt like she was in a story that wasn't her own, and it lasted 24 hours. Today, as part of her recovery journey, Vered is actively involved in the abductees' tent.
